Boston Bringing EV School Buses & EV Tech Training To City Schools

04-29-22 EV Power Podcast ~ Season 2, Episode 1 ~

Boston takes a big leap into the 21st century with a decision to bring 20 all-electric school buses on line for the start of the coming school year. It’s the beginning of the city’s plan to replace the entire fleet with EV buses by 2030. Going hand in hand with this project is the training of the next generation of automotive mechanics at Madison Park Technical High School to be ready to do the specialized maintenance that electric vehicles demand. EV Power Podcast hosts Peter Ciani and Rich Taber take a closer look at what this all means as well as how Boston’s decision compares with the shortsighted USPS plan to replace their fleet with outdated internal combustion technology. The conversation gravitates to a in-person analysis of the recent New York Auto Show and its EV focus.
